MTV’s “Jersey Shore” lost an advertiser, TVGuide.com reports.
Domino’s decided it didn’t need to have its spots run in the reality program, which has been criticized by an Italian-American group for promoting stereotypes.
Domino’s’ vice president of communications, Tim McIntyre, told TVGuide.com that, “once we saw what the program was, we decided that the content wasn’t in keeping with what we’re all about.”
MTV said in a statement that “no advertiser has specifically pulled full sponsorship from the show. Domino’s had indicated that they just did not want their run of schedule spots running during Jersey Shore, so they are not currently scheduled there.”
