Peter Gammons Leaving ESPN for MLB

Dec 9, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Peter Gammons is leaving ESPN, where he’s made his home since 1990, for a job as an analyst at the MLB Network, reports the Associated Press.

He’ll do commentary for breaking news and big events, and will appear on the network’s news shows, as well as do short documentary pieces and write for the MLB.com Web site.

He said the decision to leave ESPN “has been conflicted,” noting that, “ESPN gave me a great deal more than I gave it, and will always be a huge part of who I am.”
