CNN is giving hosting duties to its plum Sunday morning political newsmaker show “State of the Union” to Candy Crowley, the network’s senior political correspondent.

Crowley, who has been at the network since 1987, will replace John King, who is taking on a 7 p.m. weeknight primetime program.

She’ll start next week on the Sunday show, which will air from 9 to 10 a.m., kicking off a revised Sunday lineup that will include “Fareed Zakaria GPS” at 10 a.m., “Reliable Sources” at 11 a.m. and an updated edition of “State of the Union” at noon.
