CBS’ March Madness Sets Online Record

CBS’ “March Madness on Demand,” its free streaming of the NCAA basketball tournament, pulled in 11 percent more viewers on Day One than the same day last year, Multichannel News reports.

Some 3 million unique visitors showed up on March 18, and they watched for 3.4 million hours, which was up 20 percent from last year’s numbers.

CBS said both figures set single-day traffic records for a live sports event on the Web.
