Disney Channel Targeting Family Viewing With New Comedy

Disney Channel is hoping to grab more of a multigenerational family audience and not just its tween base with the new comedy “Good Luck Charlie,” which launches in April, Multichannel News reports.

The series is about three siblings who must help out after a baby sister is born and their parents return to work. The show, which centers on real life, is also a departure from the network’s series such as “Hannah Montana” and “Wizards of Waverly Place,” which feature kids in fantasy situations.
