Miss America Looking for New Home Again

After rescuing it in 2008, TLC has dropped the Miss America pageant, leaving the competition looking for yet another home, reports TheWrap.

The pageant has been itinerant since NBC dropped it, and ABC picked it up, in 1997. When ABC also decided to give it up after eight years, the show moved to CMT for a couple years.

TLC said in a statement that despite the fact that Miss America drew its best ratings ever this year since moving to cable, the network had decided not to renew the contract.
