Oprah Winfrey’s forthcoming cable network, OWN, acquired TV rights to the film “Precious,” reports The New York Times.
Winfrey was an executive producer of the film, which will appear on OWN beginning in the summer of 2012. The network at the same time acquired rights to several other films from distributor Lionsgate.
