CNBC Starting Movie Night — With Financial-Themed Films

May 20, 2010  •  Post A Comment

CNBC is starting a weekly movie night this summer on Friday evenings, reports TVNewser.com.

If that seems off-brand for the financial news network, it may make more sense when one learns that films all have financial themes, such as "Wall Street" and "The Last Days of Lehman Brothers." It’s also similar to the decision by The Weather Channel last year to add a movie night on Fridays.

Still, CNBC had achieved some success with its original documentary films. The movie nights will start on June 11 with "The Last Days of Lehman Brothers."
