MTV Orders ‘Teen Wolf’ to Series, Based on 1985 Film With Michael J. Fox

MTV has given a 12-episode order for "Teen Wolf," a series based on the 1985 film starring Michael J. Fox, reports Nellie Andreeva on Deadline.com

The deal was delayed because of negotiating details with rights-holder MGM. The show will star Tyler Posey as a nerdy high school student who gains new powers — including the ability to attract girls — after being attacked by a wolf.

It marks the third series pickup in three weeks for MTV, which has also ordered scripted pilot "Skins" to series and picked up the animated program "Good Vibes."
