The 1980s teen pop stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany have signed up to star in a Syfy Saturday night original movie called "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," which promises to show the pair battling it out, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Tiffany will take the part of a park ranger who uses dangerous strategies to save endangered Everglades alligators, while Gibson will play an animal-rights activist who frees pet-store snakes into the Florida swamp. The snakes, of course, grow into gigantic creatures once out of their cages.
The story says the characters start a fight at a party and then "take matters outside into the swamp." Both have previously appeared on Syfy original programs, but the idea to cast them together came after Tiffany visited then network and said she had always wanted to work with Gibson; the two were portrayed as rivals during their 1980s pop heydays, the article says.
