HBO’s Longest-Running Show, ‘Entourage,’ Slated to Draw to an End in 2011

HBO said its longest-running show, "Entourage," will end in 2011, possibly with a shortened final season of only six episodes, reports James Hibberd at The Hollywood Reporter’s The Live Feed blog.

"The plan right now is we’ll finish up this season, we’ll do a shorter order for next season, we’ve talked about six," Michael Lombardo, HBO programming president, said. Show creator Doug Ellin is talking with the network about doing a film based on the show, and has pitched ideas for other programs to HBO, Lombardo said.

But in what’s good news for fans of another HBO show, network executives said there’s no scheduled end for "Curb Your Enthusiasm," at least as long as Larry David wants to continue with the program.
