Kate Gosselin and her family will soon get more competition on TLC, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The network has ordered eight episodes of a program tracking a Latino family in New York City who have sextuplets, the story says. The show, "Sextuplets Take New York," will debut Sept. 14.
The parents, Victor and Digna Carpio, are raising the children in Queens, where the show will track the challenges of raising six 22-month olds in a modest house, the article says. The parents also have a 9-year old son.
Like "Kate Plus 8," "Sextuplets" is produced by Figure 8 Films. TLC has made something of a niche from programming about big families, with "19 Kids and Counting" and the recently announced show "Quints by Surprise."
