VH1 said it’s sticking with the Sept. 19 second-season debut of Fantasia Barrino’s reality show, "Fantasia for Real," despite the "American Idol" winner’s overdose this week, reports the New York Post.

A representative for the network said that it’s too early to say how or if anything will be reworked in the season premiere to reflect this week’s events, the story adds. The second season will track Barrino as she promotes her album, "Back to Me," which will be released Aug. 24, and how she’s a positive example for her 9-year old daughter, the article says.

As previously reported, Barrino was hospitalized after overdosing on aspirin and a sleeping aid following negative media attention over her affair with a married man. The show’s first season averaged 1.2 million viewers per episode.
