The first game of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) between the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers was the most watched Game One of an LCS in cable TV history.

TBS reported that more than 8.1 million viewers tuned in to the network’s broadcast, in which the Yankees scored five runs in the eighth inning for a 6-5 come-from-behind victory.

The telecast scored a 5.0 rating in U.S. households, which was in increase of 32% over TBS’s coverage of Game One of the 2009 National League Championship Series.
