Asked when he will start thinking about the fifth season of AMC’s "Mad Men," creator Matthew Weiner tells the New York Times that the show hasn’t officially been renewed, although he’s assuming it will be.

He added that he wants to end the show on his terms. "I also feel like there’s a way to end the show, to leave the taste in people’s mouths. That artistic decision, to complete it, is very strong for me," Weiner says, adding that he believes "everything will work out."

Asked if he enjoys the culture of 2010, Weiner responds, "I’m so starved for things, for any kind of entertainment.," noting that he finds movies "a bummer." "It’s a bummer to see movie after movie where so many talented people get together and so much money is spent, and they’re just bland, lifeless, familiar, fake," he says. He adds that he and his four sons enjoy watching television shows together, however, singling out "The Simpsons" and "30 Rock" as shows they enjoy.
