‘TV Everywhere’ Debuts From Dish, Allowing Customers to Watch TV on Smartphones and Laptops

"TV Everywhere" from Dish Network debuted on Thursday, allowing customers to watch TV on their smartphones, laptops and tablet computers, reports the Denver Post

Subscribers need to download a free Dish remote-access program on the device on which they wish to watch TV, and buy a $99 Sling adapter and a DVR or a DVR with Sling built into it, the story notes. There aren’t any other monthly service fees, it adds.

Pay-television providers are increasingly looking for ways to halt subscriber losses, and Comcast this week debuted an iPad app that allows customers to watch some content on their tablet, the story says.
