Thanks to a new agreement between Verizon and ESPN, FiOS subscribers can now watch ESPN over the Internet as well as on traditional TV sets, the New York Post reports.

ESPN plans to hold off on running advertising on the Internet stream for an undisclosed period, the story notes. The deal with Verizon marks the third such deal from ESPN with distributors, after similar agreements with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks.

The ESPN rights are part of a larger agreement that calls for Verizon FiOS to pay retransmission fees for 10 local ABC broadcast stations, the article notes.
