An actor from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is joining the upcoming season of NBC’s "Grimm." EW.com’s Inside TV reports that Alexis Denisof has been cast on the show on a recurring basis.

Denisof, who also starred on the "Buffy" spinoff "Angel," will play Viktor Albert Wilhelm George Beckendorf, the first cousin of Eric Renard, who is played by James Frain.

The casting reunites Denisof with "Angel" co-creator David Greenwalt, who co-created the NBC supernatural drama. The next season of "Grimm" starts Oct. 25.
