Marijuana aficionados took notice of a change of heart by a popular CNN correspondent. Business Insider reports that the cable network’s medical guru Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who is now supporting medical use of marijuana, has had a strain of pot named after him.

Helping Hands Herbals Dispensary in Boulder, Colo., released a marijuana strain called Sanjay Gupta Kush, which the site describes as a "modified indica with roots originating from southeast Asia."

As previously reported, Gupta changed his mind about his opposition to legalizing marijuana for medical use after working on a documentary for CNN called "Weed."

"We have been terribly and systematically misled for nearly 70 years in the United States, and I apologize for my own role in that," he wrote in an essay.
