Comedy Central is adding programs to mark the finale of the Matt Groening animated series "Futurama." TheWrap.com reports that the cable channel will televise pre- and post-shows around the show’s Sept. 4 series finale.

The pre-show will include a discussion with Groening and "Futurama" executive producer David Cohen, with Nerdist’s Chris Hardwick moderating. (Hardwick also hosts the AMC after-shows "The Talking Dead" and "Talking Bad.") Voice stars from the show, including Billy West and Lauren Tom, will also participate.

After the finale, the post-show will add co-executive producer Patric M. Verrone and supervising director Peter Avanzin, and will include reactions to the final episode. It will also feature answers to questions from fans and details on what went on behind the scenes.

"Futurama" ran on Fox from 1999 to 2003, and then was revived by Comedy Central in 2008 as direct-to-video films, with the network airing new series episodes starting in 2010.
