Just sit right back
And you’ll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this tropic port,
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin’ man,
The Skipper brave and sure,
Five passengers set sail that day,
For a three hour tour,
A three hour tour.

The weather started getting rough,
The tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew
The Minnow would be lost.
The Minnow would be lost.

The ship set ground on the shore
Of this uncharted desert isle
With Gilligan,
The Skipper too.
The millionaire
And his wife,
The movie star,
The professor and Mary Ann,
Here on Gilligan’s Isle.

  1. They’re taking more programming away from rapidly dying rival ANTENNA-TV. They were using Hitchcock to counter ME-TV’s Serling shows.
I can live without LOVE BOAT but it probably has some appeal. I’ve been kind of surprised that none of the digital OTA channels have run GILLIGAN already. I wish they’d move into the 80’s television catalog.

  2. Neil Sabin is a genious. METV has been around longer than any of the other “networks” that are airing old television episodes. Antenna TV and COZI are cool, but not as much as METV and METOO are. In my opinion of course…LOL…

  3. I can’t wait for those shows to air. My husband and I love METV; we have our individual favorites and we can agree on Dragnet and Beverly Hillbillies. It’s great that these shows have a home on a channel with such a great variety of retro programs.

  5. I applaud networks like MeTV, Antenna TV and Cozi TV for taking up where the once excellent TVLand once stood. TVLand has become a virtual cesspool. It’s one done broken little puppy.
I can do without Gilligan’s Island, F-Troop and The Brady Bunch, but these shows are still more tolerable to watch than any comedy made nowadays.
I only hope that these classic networks will abstain from airing shows from the mid ’80s on. That’s when TV took the plunge head first and never recovered.
AntennaTV showing Married With Children is a major NO, NO! That’s the kind of inferior programming that garbage networks like TVLand are limited to.
