The creator of "Sex and the City," "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Melrose Place" is working on a new comedy called "Younger," TheWrap.com reports. The new show from Darren Star, which is in the works for TV Land, is about a 40-something mom who decides to lie about her age in order to restart her career, the story reports.

The project is based on a novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran, the story notes. The New Jersey housewife at the center of the program pretends she’s in her 20s, getting a makeover and securing a job at a hot publishing company.

"Darren has brought to life some of the most dynamic and indelible characters on television today," TV Land Executive Vice President of Development and Original Programming Keith Cox said. "We are beyond excited to work with him. Between ‘Sex and the City,’ ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ and ‘Melrose Place,’ he has created some of the most iconic and beloved shows in the history of television."
