The chairman and chief executive of Endemol North America is stepping down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, David Goldberg will leave his post at the end of the year.
"It is time for me to try something new and I am excited about the possibilities. I am incredibly proud of the remarkable group of executives, producers and companies that I assembled over the last 13 years and all that we accomplished together," Goldberg said.
Goldberg will continue to consult for "Steve Harvey," which has become one of daytime TV’s biggest success stories this year, the piece notes. Under Goldberg’s leadership, Endemol USA created reality hits such as "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Fear Factor."
The company will name a replacement closer to Goldberg’s departure.
