A key role on HBO’s "Game of Thrones" has been recast and will be played by its third actor. The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports that Icelandic actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson will play Gregor Clegane, becoming the third person cast as "The Mountain."

The actor announced his casting on Twitter, writing, "For all my fans! I am happy to tell you that I will be THE MOUNTAIN In season 4 In Game Of Thrones :)"

The Mountain is the brother of Sandor Clegane, played by Rory McCann. The part was first portrayed by Conan Stevens in season one, while Ian Whyte took on the role in the second season. Whyte was also cast as a giant and a White Walker in the show.

While the character didn’t appear in the third season, it’s likely the huge knight will have an expanded role in the next season, the story adds.
