A new talk show has racked up the strongest first-week numbers of any syndicated talk show in seven years in key demos. In adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, the week one ratings for "Arsenio" are the best since the debut of "Rachael Ray" in September 2006.

After premiering Sept. 9, the late-night show featuring talk veteran Arsenio Hall finished its first week with a 0.7 average rating/3 share in adults 18-49, chalking up 40% growth over its lead-in (0.5/2) and 40% improvement over its year-ago time period average (0.5/2).

"Arsenio" reportedly finished as the top-ranked late-night talk show in the 18-49 demo (0.7/3), tying Jay Leno’s number (0.7/4) and topping the other veteran shows.

The show’s week one household rating in the 56 metered markets averaged a 1.5/3, up 50% from its year-ago time periods (1.0/2). In New York, "Arsenio" improved its time period on WPIX-TV by 86% over last year to a 1.3/3. In Los Angeles the show surged 138% over year-ago numbers to a 1.9/6 on KTLA-TV, and in Chicago, it grew 56% from last year to a 2.5/5 on WGN.
