ABC has given additional script orders for two new fall comedies airing on Wednesday nights. The network ordered two additional scripts apiece for "Super Fun Night" and "Back in the Game," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Airing after "Modern Family," "Super Fun Night" earned some lukewarm reviews but also drew a 3.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic, the story notes. That number represents the strongest premiere retention from a lead-in from "Modern Family" in four years, the piece notes.

"Back in the Game," meanwhile, earned a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 segment. That made it ABC’s lowest fall comedy debut since 2009.

"’Super Fun Night’ and ‘Back in the Game’ join fellow freshman comedies ‘Trophy Wife’ and ‘The Goldbergs’ as having received additional script orders at the network," the story notes.
