A cable series that was canceled last year appears to now be alive and well. TheWrap.com reports that the drama series "Drop Dead Diva" received an order from Lifetime for a sixth season.

Budget cuts helped make the show’s revival possible, and the supernatural drama is now in its fifth season, airing on Sundays. The drama stars Brooke Elliott as a thin model whose soul, after she dies in an accident, enters the body of a plus-sized attorney.

The series is from Sony Television and was created by Josh Berman. The 13-episode sixth season will air in 2014.
