Singer Chris Brown has been released from jail after his assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, reports People magazine.

As previously reported, Brown was arrested after allegedly attacking a man who had reportedly photobombed the singer.

Brown and his bodyguard were freed without bail. The singer’s attorney said he had done nothing wrong, and that his security "acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property."

"The police report says [alleged victim Isaac Adams] Parker tried to get into a photo that Brown was posing for with a female fan when the singer said, ‘I’m not down with that gay s–t’ and ‘I feel like boxing,’" People reports. "Brown then punched him in the face with his fist and the bodyguard stepped between them and also punched Parker in the face, according to the report."
