The former president of ad sales for NBCU’s myriad cable networks has joined the practice of a premier executive search and management consulting company.

Dave Cassaro has joined the Sucherman Consulting Group as Senior Consultant, the company has announced.

"Cassaro will offer expertise on advertising and revenue generation," the annoucement says, adding, "He will also work on the placement of senior advertising and revenue executives across television, digital and other media entities."

Besides his extensive experience in cable ad sales, Cassaro is one of the very few people — if not the only one — who also has worked in ad sales at all four major broadcast TV networks: ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. He has also worked at a rep firm, Telerep.

Erik Sorenson, Sucherman’s COO, said in the announcement, “We are thrilled that Dave has joined forces with our growing firm to broaden our expertise and capacity. He brings a wealth of knowledge and an enormous network of former colleagues and clients.”

Sorenson himself has quite a resume in TV management. He’s been both a local TV news director and a TV station manager. He has executive produced the "CBS Evening News." And for six years he was the president of a cable channel: MSNBC.

Just last month Sucherman announced the hiring of two other search consultants, Christina Sampaio-Forman and Mary Bryan Moore. Sampaio-Forman came from Eight Minds, an independent think tank for television and film production companies. Moore had previously been with Disney Publishing and ESPN.
