Singer Chris Brown has been ordered to rehab for anger management, after he broke into a reported “violent rage” and was thrown out of a Malibu rehab facility, reports TMZ.com.

According to a separate TMZ story, Brown was kicked out of the rehab facility after he allegedly threw a rock through his mother’s car window.

“According to the report, Chris’ mom showed up for a family session and was urging her son to stay in the facility for extended treatment. Apparently, Chris violently disagreed with her and in a fit of anger threw a rock through her car window, shattering it,” the story reports.

The earlier story notes that the Probation Department recommended the singer receive live-in anger management rehab. “The judge agreed with Probation, and ordered Brown to check into a facility for 90 days, and the facility must be in L.A. County and approved by Probation,” the earlier story notes.

The judge wants a report on an incident in Washington, D.C., where Brown allegedly assaulted another man, the story says. That “could result in Chris getting his probation yanked in the Rihanna case … which could then result in prison time,” the piece adds.
