A&E Network is working on a drama called “The 36,” which is based on the mystical Jewish idea of the Righteous 36 — the concept that at all times 36 people in the world have special powers, reports Deadline.com.

“The 36” is set in the world of fallen angels, or nephilim, who live among humans and who are only kept in line by the 36 people with special powers, the story says. The drama is set in New York and is from “Immortals” writers Charley and Vlas Parlapanides and producer Michael London.

Syfy is also working on a project about angels, with its series “Dominion,” which is based on the movie “Legion.”
