Larry King, a lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is about to go to bat for his team. The veteran TV talk host will star in a new series on SportsNet LA called “Larry King at Bat,” which will feature King interviewing celebrities and “beloved Dodger luminaries,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The former CNN host has been a fan of the Dodgers since they played in Brooklyn, remaining a fan after the team moved to Los Angeles in 1957. He attended his first Brooklyn Dodgers game in 1943, and interviewed Jackie Robinson twice, the story notes.

"I have been a Dodger fan all my life. I am happy to be a part of SportsNet LA, the new 24/7 Dodgers television network," King said at a news conference Tuesday.
