A CBS comedy project will feature an actor who was a part of Tony Soprano’s gang on HBO’s "The Sopranos." Deadline.com reports that "Joey Pants" — actor Joe Pantoliano — is joining the pilot “More Time With Family."

Pantoliano won an Emmy in 2003 for his supporting role as Ralph Cifaretto on "The Sopranos."

The CBS project, which stars Tom Papa and Alyson Hannigan, is based on Papa’s stand-up comedy material and the experiences of Matt Damon, who is one of the executive producers. It focuses on Tom, played by Papa, a married father who changes his career to enable him to spend more time with his family.

Pantoliano will play Stan Rizzo, Tom’s father. The actor is known for a string of film roles going back to the ’70s, including playing Teddy in "Memento," Cypher in "The Matrix," Guido "the Killer Pimp" in "Risky Business" and the violent mobster Caesar in "Bound."
