CNN Producers Arrested

Two CNN producers were arrested Tuesday at the site of the World Trade Center in New York. TVNewser reports that Yon Pomrenze, 35, and Connor Fieldman Boals, 26, were arrested for allegedly trying to sneak into the site — presumably to test security at the location.

Their arrests come after a New Jersey teenager snuck into One World Trade Center, and four men turned themselves in after taking part in a base-jumping stunt in September.

The two men were arrested after they tried to enter a main gate, and then were observed trying to climb a fence. “The men, police say, then tried to push their way through a gate at which point they were arrested. Police confiscated a GoPro camera and a video camera on a tripod and arrested the men for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct,” the story reports.

A CNN representative said the producers “were not asked to sneak onto the World Trade Center site,” according to the New York Post.
