The producers of the 2015 Academy Awards ceremony will be familiar names to anyone who has been paying attention in the past few years.

EW.com reports that the Academy today announced the return of Craig Zadan and Neil Meron as producers of the 87th Oscars, set for Feb. 22, 2015. It will be the pair's third consecutive time producing the event.

"This year’s show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres attracted the biggest ratings for any entertainment telecast in the last 10 years and generated the most-talked about (and retweeted) selfie ever," the report notes.

Said Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Craig and Neil back to produce the Oscars again in 2015. Their showmanship has elevated the show to new heights and we are excited to keep the momentum going with this creative partnership.”

EW adds: "In addition to the Oscars, Zadan and Meron have produced many musicals both onstage and on the screen, including the film versions of 'Chicago' and 'Hairspray,' the TV series 'Smash,' and the recent NBC telecast of 'The Sound of Music Live!' They will also return to NBC next year with a live production of 'Peter Pan.'"

In a statement, Zadan and Meron said: “We are delighted to work with Cheryl … and the Academy to produce the Oscars for a third time. We’re proud of the show’s success over the last two years and are eager to embark on another entertaining show to honor this year’s motion pictures.”
