A popular television actress who has a reputation for being difficult to work with is now making life difficult for a drugstore chain. The New York Post reports that former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl is suing Duane Reade for $6 million.

Heigl alleges in a lawsuit filed Wednesday that she was photographed without her consent and then Duane Reade used the image for its own advertising, the Post reports. Heigl claims Duane Reade tried to profit by distributing the snapshot on Facebook and Twitter without her knowledge or approval.

The image shows Heigl wearing a coat, her hair pulled back and wearing shades, while she totes two plastic bags as she leaves a Duane Reade store. The chain tweeted the image with the message, “Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can’t resist shopping at #NYC’s favorite drugstore.”

Heigl said that any money she receives as a result of the lawsuit will be donated to the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, which is an animal-welfare charity that she and her mother created in honor of her brother, who died in a 1986 car accident.

Duane Reade didn’t return requests for comment, the article notes.
