SundanceTV, which rebranded earlier this year and has stepped up its move into original scripted programming, has renewed an original series for a second season. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel gave a six-episode order for season two of "The Red Road."

The show, SundanceTV’s second wholly owned original scripted series after "Rectify," is about a small town located near mountains that are home to a Native American tribe. It stars Jason Momoa and Martin Henderson as two men who, the story notes, are “on a collision course.”

SundanceTV, which was known as Sundance Channel until early this year, hasn’t released ratings information for the first season of "The Red Road," the story notes. Season two is set to premiere in 2015.
