HBO is readying a docuseries about a U.S. rock band as the group records its untitled eighth album. Deadline.com reports that the series will focus on the Foo Fighters, who are due to release the record this fall.
Dave Grohl, the band's lead singer, is directing the project, which tracks the group members as they travel to eight cities to make the recording.
“The Foos traveled to Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and New York and recorded one song in each town, working with local musicians at a storied studio to capture each city’s musical heritage and cultural fabric,” the story reports.
The project is due to premiere this year.
