An actress known for her work on the Showtime drama "Homeland" has joined an HBO comedy series. Deadline.com's Nellie Andreeva reports that Marin Ireland, who played Aileen Morgan on "Homeland," is taking on a recurring role on the fourth season of "Girls."

Andreeva writes: "I hear she will play the rich, sexual, beautiful but cold Logan, a classmate of Hannah’s (Lena Dunham) at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop."

Ireland, who is also known for "Side Effects," "I Am Legend" and "Revolutionary Road," joins Desiree Akhavan and Peter Mark Kendall, who will have recurring roles as participants in the writing program.

Andreeva adds: "Ireland, repped by ICM Partners and Brookside Artist Management, is the female lead of WE TV’s first scripted drama 'The Divide' from Richard Lagravanese and Tony Goldwyn, which premieres in July."
