Starz has set a premiere date for “Outlander,” the series based on the popular novels by Diana Gabaldon, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.
The drama will premiere Saturday, Aug. 9, at 9 p.m. The 16-episode series, from “Battlestar Galactica's" Ron Moore, is currently in production in Scotland.
The network also unveiled the show's official poster, which has the tagline, “What if your future was the past?” The series is about a World War II nurse, Claire, who travels back in time to 1743 and falls in love with a Scottish warrior.
