Director Quentin Tarantino is working on a plan to put more "Django Unchained" on the screen — only this time it's the small screen. USA Today reports that Tarantino wants to use extra footage from the movie to create a TV miniseries.
"The director told an audience at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday that he's mulling over a special four-hour miniseries of the 2012 Oscar-winning American Western," the story reports.
Tarantino reportedly said: "I have about 90 minutes worth of material with Django. It hasn't been seen. My idea, frankly, is to cut together a four-hour version of Django Unchained.
"But I wouldn't show it like a four-hour movie. I would cut it up into hour chapters. Like a four-part miniseries. And show it on cable television. Show it like an hour at a time, each chapter."
Tarantino added: "We'd use all the material I have and it wouldn't be an endurance test. It would be a miniseries. And people love those."
