Veteran TV newsman Tom Brokaw, who is undergoing treatment for bone marrow cancer, told TVNewser that he believes he will "be OK" and that he’s approaching the illness “both in human terms, and as a journalist.”

He has researched the cancer, multiple myeloma, while he also continues to report for “Today” and “NBC Nightly News,” the story notes.

Brokaw is also working on pieces for the 70th anniversary of D-Day. “There’s a larger light at the end of the tunnel,” Brokaw told the publication while at the Peabody Awards ceremony in New York City, where he received a Personal Peabody Award.
