An annual ESPN program was the most buzzed-about show last week, based on Nielsen’s Twitter TV ratings. Deadline.com reports that the cable channel's telecast of the Scripps National Spelling Bee topped the rankings.

The spelling bee beat out HBO’s popular fantasy drama “Game of Thrones,” which was second on last week’s Twitter TV ratings. The HBO show had what the story describes as “another shocker ending” that lit up the social media world. “The Bachelorette” was at No. 3 and No. 7 for two episodes, while the fourth-place program was “So You Think You Can Dance.”

The spelling bee ended with two champions, the first time in half a century, after the organizers ran through all the championship words, Time magazine notes.
