“Burn Notice” creator Matt Nix has signed a new deal with Fox TV Studios, where he has worked since 2008, and also signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV for broadcast and cable, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The two-year deal was announced by Dana Walden and Gary Newman of 20th Century Fox TV and by Fox TV Studios President David Madden.

Nix, whose “Burn Notice” ran for seven seasons on USA Network, also created USA’s “Complications” and co-created FX's “The Comedians,” which will star Billy Crystal and Josh Gad. He has several shows in development, including a project at HBO.

“Matt is that rare find in television: a gifted creator, writer, showrunner, producer and director, as well as a genuinely good person. 'Burn Notice' is not only the most commercially successful show in FTVS’ history, it’s also a show that upended the spy genre and unleashed Matt’s signature blend of snarky humor, dizzying action and truly lovable characters,” Madden said.
