Fox coasted to a prime-time win on a lackluster Thursday night for the broadcast networks, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" was up two-tenths of a point in the 18-49 demo from last week, registering a 1.8 average, while "Gang Related" ticked up one-tenth to a 0.9. The combination gave Fox a modest 1.3 average in the demo, not much by the standards of Thursday primes of a few years ago, but sufficient to claim a Thursday night win against summer programming and repeats.

CBS, NBC and Univision finished in a dead heat for second place, with CBS airing all repeats while NBC put up a mix of repeat programming and fresh episodes.

ABC went with "Black Box," which slipped one-tenth of a point from its previous original in 18-49 and settled for a 0.7 average, and the two-hour season premiere of "Rookie Blue," which fell to a 1.0 — down two-tenths from the show's previous season premiere.

NBC's back-to-back fresh episodes of "Undateable" both delivered 0.9 averages in 18-49, matching last week's numbers. "Last Comic Standing" improved two-tenths to a 1.4.

For prime time overall, Fox's 1.3 average won the 18-49 demo, ahead of CBS, NBC and Univision (all with 1.1 averages) and ABC (0.9). CBS won total viewers, averaging 5.2 million to edge ABC (5.1 million) and well ahead of Fox (3.8 million), NBC (3.3 million) and Univision (2.7 million).
