NBC has a supernatural crime drama series in the pipeline. Deadline.com reports that the project, from Bob Cooper of Landscape Entertainment and Gina Matthews of Little Engine, is a limited series called “Wasteland."

The drama is written by Mick Davis, who wrote the pilot and executive produced the CBS version of “Eleventh Hour,” a BBC sci-fi drama.

“Wasteland” is about a U.S. marshal who has to track down escaped convicts with supernatural powers. The project was set up earlier at TNT, the piece notes.

NBC also has another project in the works about people with supernatural powers — the reboot of the 2006 series “Heroes,” with the new version called “Heroes Reborn.”
