A top producer at MSNBC is leaving the cable channel for an executive position at ABC News. TVNewser.com reports that Subrata De, the executive producer of MSNBC's “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” will take the job of vice president of newsgathering at ABC News.

Before joining MSNBC, she worked as Brian Williams’ producer, the story reports. At ABC News, she’s taking over for Kate O’Brien, who left the network to become president of Al Jazeera America.

“It has been an extraordinary privilege to work with her,” Mitchell said of De, on her last show, which aired last month. De was reportedly with NBCUniversal for 15 years.
