A spike in viewer turnout for reality franchise "Big Brother" fueled a CBS win for prime time Thursday night, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo.

TVbytheNumbers.com reports that "Big Brother" rebounded from its series low a week earlier, notching a 2.0 average rating in 18-49 to finish as the top show of the night on broadcast prime. The show was up 25% from last week, as CBS won the night despite filling out the rest of prime time with repeats.

Fox and Univision tied for second place as Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" rose 15% from a week ago to a 1.5 average in viewers 18-49, while "Gang Related" ticked up 14% to a 0.8.

Fourth-place NBC rolled out two series premieres, but neither program broke into single digits in the 18-49 demo. "Welcome to Sweden" settled for a 0.9 average at 9 p.m., 31% below the series premiere of "Undateable." Leading out from "Sweden" at 9:30, "Working the Engels" managed only a 0.7, 46% below the first night's 9:30 edition of "Undateable."

Wrapped around its 9 p.m. hour of premieres, NBC's "Hollywood Game Night" pulled a 0.9 average in 18-49 at 8 p.m., slipping 10% from its most recent original, and "Last Comic Standing," wrapping up prime time at 10 p.m., finally got the network into single digits with a 1.0 — down 9% from last week and equaling the series low.

ABC came in fifth among the broadcast nets with a lineup of original programs, as "Black Box" (0.7 average in 18-49, up 17% from a series low a week ago), "Rookie Blue" (0.9, up 13%) and "NY Med" (0.9, up 29%) all improved but still failed to crack a 1.0.

For prime time overall, CBS's 1.4 average was the best of the bunch in adults 18-49, topping Univision and Fox (both with 1.1 averages), NBC (0.9) and ABC (0.8). CBS also rolled to a win in total viewers, averaging 5.6 million to lead ABC (4.6 million), Fox (3.6 million), NBC (3.4 million) and Univision (2.9 million).
