Disney is moving ahead with a new live-action comedy project. Deadline.com reports that the company has started production on the pilot for “Commando Crash” for Disney XD.

The project features the popular purple puppet Crash from the network’s show “Crash & Bernstein."

The pilot will follow Crash as he’s sent away to a military school that has two groups: the high-achieving Alphas, and the Clunks — troublemakers sent to clean up their acts. Crash will work on encouraging the Clunks to stand up against the better treatment received by the Alphas, the story says.

“Crash & Bernstein” creator Eric Friedman wrote the pilot and will executive produce.
