A guest on the Fox News morning show "Fox & Friends" offered women advice about their behavior in the workplace and ended up sounding “like something out of the 1960s,” TheWrap.com reports.

The show featured author Sylvia Ann Hewlett, in promotion of her book "Executive Presence," in a segment on career advice for women.

Hewlett, who describes herself as a gender and workplace issues expert, advised women that they should avoid raising their voices under pressure and that they should wear colorful tops.

She also advised women to avoid “[filling] the air with words … oftentimes that undermines you, just rambling.”

Co-host Steve Doocy asked, “Don’t talk too much?”

“Exactly,” Hewlett said.
